INSTALL XP ON COMPAQ LAPTOP

FRNDS i have a compaq presario cq 40 series laptop and i find it very difficult to install window xp on it.
so in the starting i got puzzeled coz when u install windows xp on these laptop after copying setup file an ERROR is shown and blue screen appears with a hexadecimal number 7777eeeabc7777 etc ...

reson for this is, these laptop doesnt haveSATA driver controller nor does they have RAID controller pre installed. AND same is the case with the XP cd which u have they either dont have these driver installed so i will request u to download  SATA driver from any websites ...  for assistance u can one of these sites...

NOW once u have downloaded sata driver package to ur pc/latop.... all u have to do is to create a window xp bootable cd with the help of software or tool called n-Lite(click here to download)now this cd will contain xp+sata driver ............how???
check this out..
1.copy win xp in a folder .
2.install N-Lite on ur system.


3.click next.
4.browse for the folder where the xp copied folder is placed.
5.click next.
       6. simply click next.

7.select service pack and bootable iso by pressing ctrl button.
8.click next.
9.again click next.
10 .select appropriate SATA and  RAID controller
and done.... now insert the new cd make make a bootable cd.... now this cd will install windows xp on your desired compaq laptop ........enjoy buddy
